East Jakarta SDA will Build 50 Water Channels This Year

As an effort to overcome flooding, this year East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency will build channels in 50 locations that prone to inundation.

In this year, we will also build 10 sluice gates

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency's Drainage Improvement and Development Section Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri conveyed, construction work of 50 water channels and supporting facilities will be carried out to realize residents' proposals submitted through Musrenbang several years ago.

"We are currently waiting for e-katalog auction process. We will also re-survey the 50 locations," he said, Thursday (1/13).

Not only water channels, his side will also build Cipa or Cipinang Permata Pump House on Jl. Mayjen Sutoyo, Kebon Pala, Makasar. His side will place three pumps in this location with each capacity of 2,000 liters per second.

This year, East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency will also procure 20 mobile flood control pumps. In detail, 4 pumps with capacity 500 liters per second, 2 pumps with capacity 1,000 liters per second, and 14 pumps with capacity 250 liters per second.

According to him, 10 of 14 pumps with capacity 250 liters per second will be distributed to sub-district offices and 4 units will be placed in Aneka Elok Reservoir and Pulomas Reservoir.

"In this year, we will also build 10 sluice gates, especially at inlet and outlet points of reservoir, as well as connecting channels," he mentioned.
